College is a time of new beginnings— often students move to a new city, live on their own for the first time, and find a whole new group of friends. Sometimes it seems like the only thing a student can rely on is change. Newman Centers exist to provide stability and a home away from home.
Since 1893, Newman Centers have provided a Catholic refuge at public colleges. Though each Newman Center makes their own mission, they all share one goal: strengthening young adults in friendship, community, and the faith.
Newman Centers act as a home base for students looking to grow spiritually and socially through the connection of community. Newman Centers are parishes with dedicated spaces for students to hang out, meet lifelong friends, study, and grow closer to Jesus. They provide a vibrant community in a safe atmosphere to facilitate social interaction, academic success, and spiritual growth.
